At StudentScholars Private School, we understand that every child learns at their own pace, and their school program should support that.

 

Our Individualized Learning Program (ILP) is the foundation of our school curriculum for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.  This integrated school program is designed for students who benefit from personalized guidance to master academic skills. Through tailored instruction that matches each student’s learning style, pace, and abilities, the ILP helps students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and achieve long-term academic success.

Our goal is to ensure every child receives the focused attention, guidance, and encouragement they deserve—while covering all subjects in the Ontario elementary school curriculum. This proven program also helps your child prepare for high school admission and transition smoothly into high school, building strong academic foundations and long-term confidence.

How It Works

-Students take part in the ILP as part of their regular school day, running from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each class is intentionally kept small—with a maximum of four students, so our teachers can create customized learning plans and provide focused, meaningful support. This small-group model ensures that every child receives the attention they need to progress at their own pace while meeting curriculum expectations.

- We also offer customized one-on-one private lessons with a teacher. These can be scheduled as needed—full-day sessions every day, or only on certain days of the week. This option can also serve as support alongside their current school or for homeschooling programs, where students attend our sessions a few days a week and their registered school on the others. The fee for this service is $45 per hour.

• Identify Learning Gaps: This assessment allows us to pinpoint gaps in knowledge or skills and determine the areas that require focused attention.

• Customized Learning Plan: Every student receives a personalized learning plan tailored to address their unique needs and build on their existing strengths.

• Targeted Instruction: Through one-on-one guidance, small-group lessons, and structured activities, students work on areas where they need the most support.

• Pace & Progress: Students advance at a comfortable, individualized pace, ensuring steady growth without pressure.

• Building Confidence: As learning gaps are closed, students gain academic confidence, resilience, and the skills to meet grade-level expectations.

• Long-Term Success: Our approach equips students with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond, fostering both academic and personal growth.

Program Pre-Requisites​

To ensure a supportive and effective learning environment, students applying to the ILP should meet the following requirements:

• Behavioral suitability: Students should not exhibit significant behavioral challenges, aggression, or emotional dysregulation, as we do not have the resources to provide specialized behavioral support.

• Motivation & willingness: Students should be receptive to instruction, willing to engage in learning, and able to follow classroom routines with guidance.

• Attendance & commitment: Regular attendance is crucial to ensure consistent progress.

• Medical or learning considerations: Students with complex learning differences or medical needs requiring specialized support may need evaluation before acceptance to ensure their needs can be safely met.

By joining StudentScholars’ Individualized Learning Program, students receive the support, guidance, and tailored instruction they need to close learning gaps, gain confidence, and grow academically.
